Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Still Waters App ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the Still Waters app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least the age required by applicable law and the App Store's terms in your country to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

Still Waters offers Bible reading, daily verses, reading and devotional plans, a private prayer journal, mood-based Scripture guidance, audio Bible playback, an AI Bible Companion, and verse-wallpaper features, along with optional premium purchases and subscriptions.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of law or these Terms.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, harm, or infringe the rights of others.
• Attempt to circumvent security or access controls.

You retain ownership of prayer entries, prompts, and other content you create ("User Content"). Because most User Content stays on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own backups where appropriate. To the extent User Content is transmitted to us or to our providers (for example, an AI prompt), you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the Service.

The AI Bible Companion produces responses that may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or outdated. AI output is not divine revelation and does not represent a pastor, priest, counselor, physician, lawyer, emergency responder, or final theological authority.

You should consult Scripture, trusted faith leaders, and qualified professionals where appropriate. Use of AI features is at your own discretion and risk.

Content in the Service is provided for personal reflection and informational purposes. Still Waters does not purport to make authoritative theological pronouncements and is not affiliated with any specific church or denomination.

The Service is not a medical, mental-health, crisis, legal, or professional-advice service. If you are in immediate danger or considering self-harm, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified crisis service immediately.

The Service is not an emergency-response service and does not monitor prayer entries or AI prompts for emergencies.

Unless otherwise noted in the app, Scripture is provided from the World English Bible (WEB), a public-domain modern English translation. Any additional translations shown in the app are used under their respective licenses, and those licenses are credited within the app. Third-party content is subject to its own licensing terms.

The Service, including its design, content, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable law. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the applicable App Store, including Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the App Store's terms with respect to the app, the App Store's terms will govern to the extent required.

Optional premium features may be offered as one-time purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions. Pricing, features, and billing terms are shown in the app before purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your App Store account at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, subject to Apple's applicable terms. Subscriptions are managed through your App Store account.

Cancellation stops future renewal but ordinarily does not retroactively refund an already-started billing period, subject to applicable law and App Store policies.

The Service integrates with, and may link to, third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We are not liable for any resulting unavailability.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Where legally permitted, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
